Invitation to Participate – Anti-Ragging Workshop (SCFR 216/2020)
Dear Students,
The Center of Gender Equity and Equality (CGEE), Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine, is organizing a workshop on the Order of Court on Framing Guidelines to Combat Ragging in State Universities, based on the Supreme Court judgment dated 9th July 2025 (SCFR 216/2020).
The details of the workshop are as follows:
Date: 19th February 2026
Time: 8.00 a.m. – 12.00 noon
Venue: Mini Auditorium, GWUIM
This workshop is organized for students of all faculties (FIM, FIHST, FISSMS).
Please note that participation is compulsory for:
Student Union Representatives
Student Society / Association Representatives
Other students are also encouraged to participate.
There will be 02 sessions .
Session 01- 8.00 am - 10.00a.m
Session 02- 10.00a.m -12.00 noon.
You may participate in any one of the above sessions at your convenience.
The programme aims to enhance awareness on anti-ragging laws, victim protection mechanisms, and the importance of complying with the Supreme Court directives.
